Pico x CoCo x Chico OVA Review

This was my favorite OVA out of all of the Pico series. And I'm going to be perfectly honest here, at first I thought that CoCo was a chick. Mainly because he looks alot like Kiyal from 'Gurren Lagann'. I love how CoCo thinks! Like when Pico and Chico first meet him. Pico asked CoCo if he wanted one of his pins that Chico kept giving him. CoCo wanted more than one because he didn't want it to be lonely. His other cute theory came up when Pico and Chico asked for CoCo's number. And he took out about 6 different phones and asked them which one. He said that he had so many so they wouldn't get lonely. He also said that sometimes the phones talk to each other, in a sense they were ringing at each other, and that the red and blue phones were really good friends and liked to talk alot. I think that I'm going to carry that story with me for the rest of my life. ^-^ The only part that I didn't care for in this OVA was the scene where CoCo 'disappeared', and Pico and Chico found him at the Tokyo Tower. That scene was very beautiful and touching, but I wasn't to crazy about the 3-way going on, that was pretty much, 'unnecessary'. -_-;; As like most of the sex scenes in the Pico series. :/ Though I must admit, I loved watching Chico running around in that gothic lolita outfit. X3 Call me a shouta-lover if you will, but he was just so damn cute!! XD Pico, on the other hand, he got trite after the first OVA. :/ Chico got cuter! :D And as usual I'll post some scenes up later. And yes, I AM posting screens of gothic lolita Chico! ^.^ Overall, this was the best Pico series OVA and I totally recommend that you watch it! Though if the hentai is turning you away, you can always just skip over it, since it's not 100% vital to watch in order to understand the series.

Papa to Kiss in the Dark Review

I have recently been on the lookout for some awesome Boy's Love (Guy-on-guy) anime series. I found this neat little title and wanted to review it for whoever the hell is bothering to follow this blog. And and head's up, I will post the screen caps later. Something you'll find out about me, I never make screen caps on the first watch. I need to get into the story without any distractions. Also this series was hard-subbed so subtitles will be on some of the screen caps. Sorry I can't just magically poof them away. Now, onto the review! 'Papa to Kiss in the Dark' starts off with the main character, Mira, who is living alone with his father, Kyousuke. Mira and his father share a 'special' relationship, if you catch my drift. Now I don't normally like incest especially between father and son, but this one had a few good twists, so yeah, don't read on if you don't want spoilers. In the first OVA, Mira is entering his first year of high school. Due to his father being, 'playful' if you will, he is late. The front gate his shut, so he enters through the back. He gets lost trying to find the freshmen building and ends up and the student council room. There he meets a senior, Takayuki Utsunomiya, he is the president of the student council and the son of the famous actress, Mitsuki Utsunomiya. Takayuki meets Mira when he opened the student council room door and Mira, who was leaning on the door, fell right into Takayuki. Takayuki told him what room he was in and told him the way. Upon entering the classroom, Mira meets his childhood friend, Kazuki Hino, the two chat then Mira and Kazuki give us some Boy's Love fanservice. They get interrupted by Mira's other childhood friend, Shun Sakurai. Shun was away for awhile and is very talented in the guitar. Then at the end of the first OVA Mira goes to get a copy of his family register with Kazuki. When Mira receives the paper work, he is devastated to find out that Kyousuke isn't really his father! Which was kinda ironic, considering that he and Kazuki joked about such a event moments before. Then OVA 1 ends. OVA 2 begins with Mira all crestfallen about his discovery. He cries and it is at this moment that Kazuki decides to confess to Mira. The two make out abit, yay <3, then Mira doesn't like it because they've been childhood friends for so long. But it is totally okay for him to be with a dude that he thought was his father. -_- ;;; Anywho, Mira told Kazuki that they should stay friends for now. Then, oh my god, holy crap, Kyosuke gets into a car accident! (What a twist!) Of course Mira is all over dramatic about it and whines like a little bitch. Then Kyousuke pets Mira's head to let him know that he's still living. Mira's all happy again and they smooch. Later on, Mitsuki, who everyone believes is having a relationship with Kyousuke, shows up at Mira's door. She asked Mira if he wanted to be her son, he shot her down immediately then later ran towards the park, well, what I'm guessing was a park, he was near a small river, or stream, I dunno. :/ He whines and bitches some more. Then Kyousuke shows up. He was saying how he was all looking everywhere for Mira and so worried, and all that junk. Kyousuke tells Mira that Mitsuki is Mira's mother and how he's her sister. Though they were making it painfully obvious that Mitsuki was Mira's mother. I mean honestly, the eye color, the asking to be her son business. So yeah, in the end Mira wasn't making love to his Dad, but his Uncle! AND Mira was HAPPY that they were related! That's just abit too freaky for me. Mira also acts like a housewife for most of the OVAs. I wanted him to end up with Kazuki not that Eiri Yuki clone!! >.< And surprisingly, the voice actor for Mira is Hikaru Midorikawa, which freaked me out! He sounded so high pitched! My eyes bigged out during the credits and I took like 5 double takes! XD I'm also assuming that this has a manga series considering that it's an OVA. So I may review that if I find it. Overall, it's a pretty good Boy's Love series.
